“I entered my registration. Why isn’t it recorded?”

Separate what you remember, what the records show, and what remains unexplained.

Make a clear account
Record where the terminal was, when you used it, the registration you entered and whether you saw a confirmation or error. State only what you can honestly remember. Keep appointment or venue evidence private and redact medical details.
Ask focused questions
Was a matching or similar registration recorded during the visit?
Were any submissions rejected or incomplete?
Were relevant faults, connectivity problems or outages recorded?
What checks were undertaken in response to the reported issue?
Ask for information relevant to your case, not other motorists’ personal details. Availability of records varies; an appeal service may not be able to compel their production.
Avoid jumping to conclusions
A missing record could have several causes. It does not establish a technical fault, and your experience should not be presented as a proven fault without supporting evidence. Explain why the operator’s evidence does or does not address your account.
